IKEA is a Swedish multinational conglomerate that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances, home accessories, and décor. It’s one of the largest furniture retailers globally.
IKEA has “a passion for life at home.” Its culture is built upon enthusiasm, togetherness, and efficiency. The company employs optimists who continually seek new and better ways to do things. Its vision is to create a better everyday life for its customers, suppliers, and employees.
IKEA focuses on offering “a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at low prices, that as many people as possible will be able to afford them.” Many locations have restaurants and food markets.

IKEA Affiliate Program
IKEA has two affiliate programs: one for the Spanish market and the other for the German market. Here’s a snapshot.
- Cost per action (CPA): Cost per sale
- Commission type: Nonrecurring
- Commission rate: Up to 7%
- Cookie duration: 30 days
- Affiliate software: Tradedoubler
Note: IKEA doesn’t have affiliate programs for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or any English-speaking market. Later, I’ll explore other furniture affiliate programs for North American publishers.
Program Benefits
IKEA offers a 30-day cookie. It meets the industry standard and lasts longer than many competitors, including eBay, Walmart, and Amazon.
Deep linking is available, and it’s how an affiliate creates a link to a specific page on the merchant’s site. Instead of using a standard homepage affiliate link, you can link to an article or product related to your content to increase relevance and conversion rates. Many e-commerce merchants allow deep linking due to the number of products available. Product feeds, banners, text links, and other promotional tools are available.
There’s a full-time affiliate marketing team. When a merchant has the staff to support publishers, it quickens processes and shows dedication.
IKEA is an established business with a powerful global brand. Millions of people love shopping there, and it’s a weekend activity. Although I haven’t visited an IKEA store in years, I recall pleasant shopping experiences.
Program Drawbacks
The commission rate is low. A 7% payout is not exciting and subpar compared with other furniture affiliate programs. For instance, affiliates must sell €10,000 to make €700. Although affordable pricing is excellent for customers, it’s terrible for earnings.
IKEA can’t stay out of the news. Despite its positive corporate image and global fan club, lawsuits and bad press have plagued IKEA recently, including child deaths, suspect timber suppliers, and horsemeat in meatballs. Negative press inhibits sales and affiliate commissions.
Start Earning
Can you make $1,000 a month as an IKEA affiliate? Although IKEA is a top retailer, it’s unlikely that you will make that amount or a significant income. A low commission rate will hamper your earnings. Secondly, German and Spanish markets are relatively small compared to the U.S., yielding fewer buyers and sales opportunities.
Where should IKEA rank in your marketing activities? It should be a low priority. IKEA’s e-commerce operations are inefficient and need improving, which doesn’t support favorable affiliate marketing results.

Best Furniture Affiliate Programs
IKEA doesn’t have an affiliate program for the United States or other major English-speaking markets, but affiliates have many robust alternatives. ShareASale, FlexOffers, Impact, and CJ Affiliate have hundreds of home and office furniture affiliate programs. Amazon sells IKEA products, and Walmart, Target, eBay, and Etsy also sell furniture and have affiliate programs.
A common thread among furniture merchants is commission rates in the single digits. However, these companies sell high-ticket items for high average order values (AOVs) and commission payments. For example, a $1,000 sale at a 6% commission rate yields a $60 payment. Let’s review alternatives to IKEA for your audience.
