By all accounts, Mailchimp is a successful SaaS company. It has millions of active customers and generates millions in sales. Much of its growth has come from its freemium model, which enables users to access basic features for free. For example, users can send up to 10,000 monthly.

AliExpress is a global e-commerce marketplace made up of small retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers. It offers an extensive product selection and enables consumers to buy directly from businesses and manufacturers in China. Its main product categories include fashion and accessories, mobile, consumer electronics, jewelry and watches, home and garden, appliances, toys, outdoor, beauty and health, automobiles and motorcycles, home improvement, and tools. AliExpress is based in China and owned by Alibaba, a global e-commerce company.

Although AliExpress positions itself as an online retailer, most sellers understand that most of their customers are resellers and drop shippers.

Netflix doesn’t have an affiliate program for its streaming service. It had embraced affiliate marketing as a growth strategy and paid a generous commission per lead, i.e., $20 to $25 per trial conversion. However, Netflix has since phased out its affiliate program to grow through other means, including word-of-mouth and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. The termination of Netflix’s affiliate program was terrible for publishers since conversion rates, commissions, and earnings per click (EPC) were likely robust.
